Product Usage-NaSIPA
- As the third monomer of the cationically modified polyester CDP, it is mainly used for polyester, film and the like.
- Sodium isophthalate 5-sulfonate (5-SSIPA) is commonly used to prepare amine-free aqueous polyester resins and aqueous polyurethanes suitable for use in a variety of coatings.
- Generally, the structure of the reactive aromatic dibasic acid is similar to Eastman PIA (refined isophthalic acid).
- The aromatic ring structure gives the coating excellent hardness and high gloss.
- A lithium ion compound similar to 5-SSIPA is a more polar monomer that imparts greater water solubility to the resin, so it is added in smaller amounts when used.
- 5-SSIPA is a monomer for polyester resins for synthetic food packaging adhesives and has been approved by the FDA.
- A water-soluble polyester resin having a high acid value is obtained, and after further neutralizing with an amine, a water-soluble salt can be obtained.
- The polyester resin synthesized with 5-SSIPA is an aqueous polyester due to the ionic character exhibited by the sodium sulfonate group of 5-SSIPA.
- Characteristics:Water-dispersed resin does not require the use of an amine neutralizer, and the coating has excellent hardness and high gloss.
- Improves the colorability and light resistance of polyester and nylon fibers. Better PET printability for inks.Excellent interlaminar adhesion of tape.
