Esterification

Explanation
This refers to reaction of oxyacid (mainly RCOOH- Carboxylic Acid) and alcohols or phenols (ROH) dehydration and generate esters (RCOOR'): RCOOH+R′OH→RCOOR′+H2O
In certain cooking process, partial ester reaction would occur if vinegar (acid) and liquor (ethanol) are added at same time, which produces aromatic ester that gives more delicious taste.

Technical Description
Normally, esterification can be reversed. Common esterification technique uses acid and alcohol to heat up the reflow reaction under catalyzed environment, which generates ester group and water after condensation reaction. With water existence, the ester and water will obtain acid and alcohol due to the reflow. The ester productivity can also be increased by removing water, by-product from the reaction. In addition, ester compound can be generated via exchange reaction of ester.

Solution

Case Description
■ Case 1
If third modifying monomer is added to the esterification system, it is not easy to control and implement common esterification. Having esterification on the third monomer first will allow easier control of modified polyester and more stable reaction on the modified esterificating polymerization.
■ Case 2
The esterification that easily esterificates double-alcohol (e.g. esterification of BDO- Butanediol) assists polyhydric alcohol with greater selections and better operability.
■ Case 3
Special acrylic acid, alcoholation/ esterification, and ester solvent for customized electronic application.
