Human Rights Policies and Implementation

Chung Hwa formulates personnel policies based on public welfare and charity, and implements human rights policies in accordance with the following principles to protect all employees (including contractual and temporary personnel, and interns). Also expects suppliers, contractors and partners to follow these policies to safeguard human rights.

  1. Provide employees with basic wages and related benefits that comply with local regulations and do not differentiate based on gender.
  2. Employment standards should comply with the minimum age restrictions in local regulations and comply with local legal working hour regulations; forced labor and human trafficking are prohibited
  3. Provide equal job opportunities and remuneration without distinction based on race, gender, sexual orientation, age, nationality, political affiliation, religion, marriage, physical disability, etc.
  4. Respect employees’ rights to associate freely, enforce peace and hold collective discussions
  5. Provide a safe and healthy working environment and commit to creating a healthy, safe and respectful working environment in accordance with applicable safety and health regulations and through the implementation of preventive measures.
  6. Respect privacy and ensure that the collection and use of personal information comply with regulatory requirements
  7. Oppose all kinds of discrimination, bullying and harassment
  8. Responsible procurement and responsible production to ensure that there are no conflict minerals in the supply chain
  9. Conduct regular human rights risk assessments to review potential risks in operational activities
  10. Develop mitigation and remedial measures to reduce the impact of human rights risks
  11. Regularly publicly disclose the status of governance of human rights issues and maintain information transparency
  12. Integrity in business operations, no illicit gains, disclosure of information, intellectual property rights, compliance with fair dealing/advertising and competition standards, confidentiality of identity and put an end to of retaliation, privacy
